An impressively densely fruited nose is also marvelously spicy with its attractively complex array of cassis, violet, warm earth and game hints. There is outstanding richness to the concentrated medium-bodied flavors that are blessed with plenty of structure buffering dry extract that pushes the tannins to the background on the firm but velvety finish where a trace of Nuits rusticity creeps in just as the length is dying away. Good stuff if you have the patience to wait.
