Vincenzo Tommasi, owner of Podere della Civettaja, grew up with a great love for Burgundy and with admiration for the figure of Henri Jayer. In 2005 he starts his adventure of producing a wine made from 100% pinot noir grapes in Tuscany, at the border with Romagna region, on the Appennins with vineyards at 500 meters of altitude in a valley with a cool climate. A property of 2,5 hectares, with 9,000 vines per hectare and low productions per plant, bring to a limited production of few thousand bottles per year of this remarkable example of Italian pinot noir.
