Zenato Colombara Soave Classico DOC is a single vineyard Soave produced in the Veneto region of northeastern Italy.
Cantine Zenato is owned by the Zenato family and has a long tradition of wine-making in the Lombardy and Veneto regions of Italy. Zenato Wines was established in 1960 by Sergio Zenato and his wife, Carla. The Zenato wine cellars are located at San Benedetto di Lugana, in the heart of the Lugana region, on Lake Garda. The Zenato winery now consists of 75 hectares in total, 40 hectares in San Benedetto and 35 hectares in the Valpolicella Classico region at SantAmbrogio. The Soave Classico zone was first described in 1927 and today is reserved for Soave made from grapes harvested from the hillside vineyards around the municipalities of Soave and Monteforte d’Alpone.
Zenato Colombara Soave Classico is a blend of 70% Gargagnega and 30% Chardonnay (the maximum allowed under the DOC regulations) sourced from the Colombara vineyard located to the north of Calvarino. Thre grapes are hand harvested and then softly pressed and fermented using stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures.
